Authors presentation copy, inscribed to the half-title, His autograph to Mrs S. Fall Esq, Alan Reid, October 1897.

A poetical anthology looking at the poetry of Scotland, with short biographies on eminent poets alongside examples of their poems. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, ten plates, and in-text portraits.

Compiled and edited by Alan Reid.

Four pages of publishers adverts to the rear.


CONDITION

In the original publishers cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some light marks to the boards and spine, a little heavier to the rear board. Small damp stain to the front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Small crack to the front joint. Light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Front hinge is strained, rear hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Half-title is detaching to the head.
